Founded By Summit Real Estate Group To Extend
Its Culture of Caring
Summit Real Estate Group has a 30-year history of strongly caring about its employees, partners, tenants, associates and the St. Louis community. At the same time, Summit’s commercial real estate work has made an important impact on the revitalization of the St. Louis region, including helping certain distressed and otherwise impoverished areas experience growth. Along the way, the firm’s work has also helped numerous nonprofit organizations achieve their mission.
With that understanding, Mission Realty Advisors, a 501(c)3, was founded in January 2023 to strengthen the positive impact and availability of Summit’s commercial real estate services to help today’s nonprofits continue providing services and broaden their missions.
Mission Realty Advisors is also one of three established organizations that joined forces to form the Nonprofit Synergy Alliance (NSA), a St. Louis–based hub offering nonprofits strategic guidance, innovative solutions and integrated expert support across real estate, operations, and fundraising.
Recent Projects
Summit’s expertise in commercial real estate has provided unique value to numerous important nonprofit causes. Examples include:
Mission Realty Advisors joined Summit’s existing partnership with Pastors Ken and Beverly Jenkins to develop the R & R Marketplace in Dellwood, Missouri. This community-focused project has helped address local service gaps and promote equity through workforce development, early childhood education, financial empowerment and entrepreneurship within a multi-use facility.
Mission Realty Advisors is working with Concordance to help maximize the impact of its real estate holdings.
Mission Realty Advisors is working with Great Rivers Greenway on its efforts to create a dynamic network of connecting rivers, parks, and communities and to empower individuals and neighborhoods through collaborative initiatives and partnerships.
Summit assisted Family Forward as a precursor to Mission Realty Advisors, Summit assisted this nonprofit with the planning and development of the relocation of a St. Louis service site in 2021. Founded in 2017, Family Forward supports vulnerable children and families with therapy, education and trauma services.
Summit found and negotiated the acquisition of the land for the current Churchill School and oversaw all phases of the development process.
Also a prelude to Mission Realty Advisors, Summit was retained was retained by Immacolata Parish School to coordinate design and permitting, and to provide construction management for its new STEM room.
Summit assisted Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls with site selection, acquisition and renovation of its building. Following the school’s closure after the pandemic, Mission Realty Advisors led the building’s disposition, managing broker selection and sale negotiations.
Mission Realty Advisors was engaged to lead master planning efforts aimed at maximizing the facilities for this leading K-12 school for children with learning differences.
Mission Realty Advisors assisted with the analysis of several potential housing project acquisitions and with the assimilation of units in Soulard to help address the housing needs of immigrants and refugees.
